Bryce Canyon NP

Sorry this page takes a little time to load if you're on dial-up - Bryce Canyon is amazing!  OK, all the parks are awesome but Bryce was Alli's favorite and Zion was Dave's...  Enjoy!

Capital Reef NP - on the way to Bryce.  Yes, the sky and the rocks really looked this way!

More petroglyphs on the rock by the side of the road.  It's hard to see, but can you find the dude with the dreds?

We got to go trail riding!  This is Buddy, Alli's horse.

Here is Dave on Bodacious - his part-wild Mustang/Percheron mix (that's wild horse + draft horse = huge and independent!).  Dave did so well and probably had the most challenging ride.  (I think the horse-sense I taught him the day before was the reason!)

Trail-running through the hoodoos!  LOVE it!

Pig - this is the real Wall Street..a narrow slot canyon.

I want a bench like this some day...

The best day in the best canyon - horseback riding, followed by lunch, then naptime, then a burn-your-quads hike/trail run to beat the storm, then sun coming out for beautiful photography, THEN... dinner at Bryce Canyon Lodge!!!

Bryce Canyon Lodge - unfortunately not open in winter or we'd go back and stay to cross-country ski and snowshoe the canyon.  Very good food (and dessert!).
