More great jazz in San Antonio at The Landing, which records a live program on NPR.  We happened to catch Jim Cullum's band live the night we were there, and it was fantastic.  The hotel we stayed in was a vintage building which has been completely restored - The Emily Morgan Hotel, right across from the Alamo.  The patriots who died defending the Alamo have incredible stories, and we're looking forward to seeing a movie depicting the battle in December.  The Riverwalk is about 2 miles long and landscaped throughout with beautiful gardens, outside dining and even a theater.
