The Silver Strand Half Marathon ran 13.1 miles from
Coronado to the Imperial Beach pier, down the narrow strand
between the Coronado Bay and the Pacific. I felt great and ran
faster than my goal time by about 11 minutes. Looking forward to dinner and a soak in the hot
tub!
Finish time just posted: 1:59:48 (I really pushed
it in the last mile to get it just under 2 hrs - whew!! didn't
realize it was that close!)
I came in #41 in my division out of 118, so in the top
1/3! Got the hardware I wanted...that's what really counts :)
Thanks to Mom and Jenni, my race crew! It was
awesome having you there at the finish! |

There were challenged athletes of all sorts, including some amazing
amputees. Very cool. People also roller-bladed and biked the
course. |

finish - she wiped out!!! She's ok, but her lips are pretty
swollen. Oops! |
