Alli's Antics
Home Caffrey and Friends Deployment '04 LA Marathon Half Marathon WA Marathon

Heather and I finished the Northern Olympic Discovery Marathon on Sunday, June 12, 2005.

We did all 26.2 miles together and didn't run out of things to catch up on until around mile 25.  Then it was all business getting to the finish line!  We need to stay in touch throughout the year so we don't have to do a marathon to catch up next year!

The course was beautiful, but the most mentally challenging marathon I've done because it was rather remote.  There were very few people along the route after about mile 6 because it wound through the country (cow pastures!) toward the coast.  We were among only about 200 female runners, so there weren't too many of us on the course, either!

Heather's Dad, Lou, did the half marathon and our friends and family came up to support us.  We had a blast at dinner afterwards.  Thanks for being there for us everyone!  You made the day even more special!

Particular thanks to my hubby for his support all the way, and having fun with little Sammy while waiting for me to finish!
